Friends of High Hazels Park was formed in 1998 as a result of local dismay at the deterioration of the park, and the loss of land and facilities. We are a registered charity (1090071) and work closely with the Darnall Green Spaces Regeneration Team to fundraise for park improvements, help with practical tasks, hold events, and publicise the park. To date, we have helped to install two new playgrounds, an artificial cricket pitch,an orienteering course and a sensory garden, revamp the existing formal garden and reinstate the circular walk round the top of the park. We are now working in partnership with Tinsley Park Golf Club to restore High Hazels House, the ancestral home of William Jeffcock, the first Mayor of Sheffield, as a general-purpose community building. We are always anxious to attract new active members. Contact our Chairman, Paul Campbell, on 0114 2656900 or email paul.campbell2@virgin.net if you are interested. www.facebook.com/groups/351023978385754/?locale=en_GB
