A chance for a stroll around Wharncliffe Heath nature reserve with some of the trustees to discuss how the reserve is being managed and the plans for the future. This will include visiting the heathland, the surrounding woodland, and new areas of birch felling and grazing aimed at increasing habitat for scarce birds such as Nightjar, Tree Pipit and Pied Flycatcher as well as reptiles and many other species. Hopefully some of these will make an appearance for us! |
