Description |
If it is ever worth getting up early it is at this time of year. Join local birder Andrew Hill for a stroll around Wharncliffe Heath LNR at a time of day and year that will be filled with birdsong. Andrew will identify the songs and calls and describe a bit of natural history about the species as we walk around. Most of the common woodland and heathland birds will be present, and there may be some scarcer species too, such as Cuckoo, Wood Warbler and a Flycatcher or two. Scheduled to be finished by 9am. Please bring binoculars if you have them, some refreshment and appropriate clothing. It can still be cold and wet (though hopefully not) on a May morning. |
