Description | Tired of looking for the right-size frame for your favourite picture or somewhere to keep your favourite reading books? Don't fret. Try making your own! This is also a good project for the novice woodworker. Making your own picture frame at home can be a cinch. All you need are the right tools, which are available at your local crafts store or right in your home. Custom picture frames light up a room and make great gifts. Here's a DIY that's really simple. This course is meant to appeal to the absolute beginner. You do not require previous experience in woodworking [though if you have - its all usefull] The course will be using basic woodworking hand tools, saws, planes etc in order to craft simple shelves for books, display etc. There will also be opportunity to make a simple picture or mirror frame in attractive timbers. Timber can be purchased on the day or you can bring your own and tools will be provided. Bryan Frisby of Hector and Cedric Limited (Furniture maker & timber frame building specialist) will be running the course. Bryan has over 30 years experience in woodcraft and furniture design and making. Cost: £60 - Refundable up to two weeks prior to course (minus £30 admin fee) No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of course |
