Description | Tool sharpening: Ideal for home and green woodworking Basic Tool Sharpening with Dave Jackson Learn to sharpen tools to be as effective as possible - did you know that many tools are sold blunt? Tool sharpening for green woodworking tools, ie axes, drawknives, billhooks, turning tools, chisels, slashers. Spend the day learning a number of techniques using various sharpening equipment in the lovely surroundings of Ecclesall Woods Sawmill. If you are new to Greenwood craft this will be a very interesting course and is fundamental to effective green woodworking. If you have tools which are giving you problems - bring them along for Dave to look over - he will either help you get them sharp or advise you what to do. (please restrict to 2/3 tools as you will only realistically have time to work on a couple of tools) Bring a pack lunch – we provide drinks. Cost: £50 - Refundable up to two weeks prior to course (minus £20 admin fee) No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of course. |
