| Description | A beautiful countryside and woodland linear walk of approx. 6 miles, taken at a steady pace (with very little uphill walking) and going via Yarncliffe Wood, Hay Wood and the riverside path to Hathersage. This walk uses mostly rough paths and tracks, maybe occasionally muddy in places, with tree roots and rocky ground. The leader will meet the bus at Fox House. Bring a packed lunch and something to drink. PLEASE NOTE: this walk does NOT return to the starting point but finishes in Hathersage Village (where both bus and rail public transport options are available). No dogs. |
