Description | A walk of approximately 2.5 miles starting at the Grindstone pub (S10 1UA) and ending at Hadfield Street (S6 3RS). This tour will explore the origins of the name and area, as well as investigating a variety of historical and architectural features of the main and side streets. Looking at the burial grounds as a way to understand the Bronze Age and ending with a 17th Century coaching inn, this walk will encompass a wide range of history. |
