Description | This circular walk of about 2 miles around the centre of Darnall will look at the growth of the area from a medieval village to becoming a central part of Sheffield’s Industry. It will also include the tale of Charles Peace – a notorious 19th Century Sheffield murderer, who was subsequently mentioned in Sherlock Holmes novels. Starting and ending at the junction of Staniforth Road and Prince of Wales Road (S9 5HP). |
