Description | Enjoy a walk through areas of ancient woodlands. Shirtcliffe Valley contains a beautiful local nature reserve, where the walk will continue on through to Bowden Housteads Woods which is classified as ancient woodlands, having been in existence since the 17th century. These woods are also a local nature reserve and during spring you can often find beautiful carpets of bluebells. Meet at the 52 bus terminus at Woodhouse railway station at 1pm. (This walk is approximately 4 miles). |
