Theme: Linear walk following the river which gave Sheffield its name, from the city centre to its origin in Totley (with a lunch break in Millhouses Park). Along the way we'll explore the wildlife and history of this under-appreciated waterway in the company of local wildlife expert Nabil Abbas from the Friends of Sheaf Valley Park. The walk ends with spectacular bluebell displays in the southwest of the city before catching a bus back to town.
Meet opposite WH Smith in Pond Street Travel Interchange at 10.00.
Bring a packed lunch, raingear and wear waterproof footwear.
