| Description | Enjoy the best bluebells in Sheffield and relive the working past of Sheffield's Woodlands! Meet Big Lad - a working woodland horse. Watch woodland crafts people create baskets, clogs, chair legs and trugs from the natural bounty of the wood. Feed the bloomery furnace with charcoal from Sheffield wood colliers and watch a knife take shape on the forge. With guided walks from local experts on the History and Ecology of the wood and lots of other activities, it promises to be a great day, whatever the weather. Funded by the new Access to Nature project for North Sheffield Woodlands. |
