| Description | Sheffield BioBlitz event. Leader: Jim Flanagan. Meet at Deerlands Avenue at (east of roundabout at the top of Adlington Road). We will be looking at an area of former housing now demolished, re-landscaped and re-seeded with an exotic mix of native and non-native meadow species (in summer this area is an absolute riot of colour). As well as this meadow the scrub and trees adjoining the site to the north will also be investigated for their natural history interest. All welcome. Deerlands Avenue can be reached by bus from the town centre bus station. |
